The brochure provides a summary of the survey findings from 17-year-old youth in foster care, focusing on the following topics: relational connections and permanency, employment, housing, high-risk behavior, education, transition concerns, and personal goals. The brochure presents this information clearly in statistics and graphs, as well as in the powerful words of the youth themselves. • 2012-2013 Voices and Visions

For this second wave of the study, the youth who participated in the first survey are interviewed again two years later on topics including personal goals, employment, housing, and permanency. The brochure presents this information in an informative format comparable to that of the 2010-2011 Voices and Visions brochure. • 2014-2015 Voices and Visions

The brochure provides a summary of findings from the survey of 21-year-old youth transitioning out of foster care. The SC NYTD team was in contact with this cohort for 5 years, having surveyed the youth at 17 and at 19 years of age. In this third wave of the study, we heard from youth about the services they’ve received, their experiences transitioning out of care, Independent Living preparedness, life purpose, and what inspires them!

Check out the brochure and read about some of the key findings from the survey of 21-year-old alumni of foster care.
